School of Business Administration at Shandong University of Finance and Economics has a long history, and its predecessor can be traced back to the Business Department of Shandong University of Finance founded in 1958.
With a complete set of subjects and programs, and scientific, rational personnel development system, School of Business Administration has made outstanding achievement in Shandong province and even in China.There are business administrationprogram, which is recognized as a national-level specialty program,and human resource managementprogram, a provincial-level specialtyprogram and other four undergraduate programs managed by five departments, which are to be specificdepartments of business administration, marketing, human resources and organizational behavior, tourism management, and operation and management of real estate industry.Additionally, school has 12 researchinstitutes, such as the Research Base of Enterprise Innovation and Development and the Research Base of Business Models.
Supported by an excellent teaching staff team with a total number of 138, among which 30 are professors, 52 are associate professors, school has made abundant academic achievements, and published hundreds of papers onhigh-quality journals, “Management World”, “Nankai Business Review” for example, and eight research projects have received support by the National Natural Science Fund as well as National Social Science Fund. All of the achievements have helped school rank at B+ level during the fourth round of curriculum evaluation of China.
Sticking to the concept of open mind, school has established solid and productive cooperation relationship with more than 60 universities around the world, for example University of Minnesota (USA), Edinburgh Napier University (UK), Université de Rennes 1 (France), Dalhousie University (Canada), Unitec Institute of Technology (New Zealand), University of Economics, Prague (Czech Republic), Tokyo Keizai University (Japan), Tamkang University (Taiwan), and Shih Hsin University (Taiwan), in terms of students and teachers exchange and cooperative research.
The cultivation of applied and inter-disciplinarytalentsabilities has been paid great attention during school’s development. Great effort has been made to improve students’ innovative spirit and practical ability through in-class as well asextra-curricular programs, which is paid back both with students’ rewards in “National Challenge Cup”,“Mathematical Modeling Competition” and other contests around the country and extreme positive appraise made by graduates’ employers.
